This is a photo-etched metal detail set (vol.2, add-on), not a kit for the whole vehicle. The set replaces the plastic fenders with thin metal parts and adds details of the engine area of the 3 ton Sd.Kfz.11 half-track tractor in its late configuration. It follows on from the basic photo-etched set and serves as an add-on for a model in 1:35 scale.
The Sd.Kfz.11 was a German 3 ton half-track tractor of the Second World War, used mainly as an artillery tractor. The late version had a simplified cab and further wartime changes. Thin metal fenders and fine details of the engine bay markedly improve the scale look of the model, above all with the engine hood open.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a glass surface and form the bends on a photo-etch bending tool. The fenders can be gently curved and given deformations. To bond metal to plastic, use cyanoacrylate or epoxy glue; paint the engine details before you close the hood and pick them out with a wash.
This is a detail set, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
