This plastic kit captures the German 5 cm FLAK 41 anti-aircraft gun in 1:35 scale. The model from Trumpeter is injection-molded in plastic, contains photo-etched parts and allows the gun to be built in the firing position or in the traveling position on its wheeled carriage. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
The 5 cm FLAK 41 was a medium-weight German anti-aircraft gun developed by Rheinmetall. It was intended to defend important installations against low and medium-altitude targets and was moved on a two-axle carriage. Although it was not built in very large numbers, it is among the interesting artillery subjects of the period.
The model comes out more faithfully if you first finish and paint the carriage mechanism and the crew seats. An airbrush and masking suit the German shades, a dark yellow with patches of green and brown. Create the patina with washes and pigments; bring out the metal surfaces of the barrel with a dry brush or with graphite.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
