Metal track links 1:35 for the Krupp Steyr Waffenträger are a set of assemblable tracks in white metal for the German weapon carrier of the end of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling accessory, not a model in its own right. The set holds individual track links cast in white metal, which are assembled into a working track with faithful left and right runs by joining them with the enclosed wire. Metal tracks replace the plastic or vinyl tracks from an ordinary kit and give a realistic weight and sag.
The Krupp Steyr Waffenträger was a German weapon carrier (Waffenträger) designed toward the end of the Second World War. It was a lightly armored tracked chassis carrying a heavy anti-tank gun on an open mount, aimed at being a cheap and mobile platform for a powerful gun.
The links are cleaned of casting remains, assembled with the enclosed wire and can be left to sag slightly for a realistic look. The metal is treated with a primer before painting, and the tracks are then painted and weathered with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a model in its own right. It does not hold the vehicle, glue or paints.
