A figure of a German officer of the Second World War in 1:35 scale from Evolution Miniatures. A resin casting for a diorama and for a vignette on its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:35 scale showing a German officer from the period of the Second World War. The casting of gray modeling resin is supplied unpainted, unassembled and with casting blocks that have to be removed before building. The set serves as an accessory for a model of a vehicle, as part of a diorama or as a vignette on its own.
Officer's dress differed from the equipment of a rank-and-file soldier in material and in cut. Characteristic are a uniform coat or jacket with a button placket, a peaked cap or a field cap, leather accessories, binoculars and a map case. It is exactly these small things that give a figure character, and in 1:35 scale they are clearly readable. The posing corresponds to a calm situation, with the figure observing the surroundings or giving orders, which suits a static model of a vehicle.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that it is rid of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw, sand the surfaces wet and use respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue and fill the small seams. After primer, paint with acrylics and build up volume in layers, adding a darker shadow in the folds and a lighter tone on the raised places to the base tone of the cloth. Paint the leather accessories and the jackboots in a shade with a different gloss, so that they are set apart from the wool cloth. Paint the face starting from a mid skin tone, suggest the eyes only with a thin brush and even the surface out at the end with a matte clear coat.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
