A set of photo-etched accessories for the gear and equipment of German tank crews in 1:35 scale. Intended for working a part-built model up in detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
The German tank troops of the Second World War had their own gear and a number of small items of equipment that turn up again and again on vehicles and on crew figures. It is exactly these small things that tend to be simplified or too thick in kits, because an injection mold cannot capture them any more finely. A photo-etched version allows the thickness of the parts to be cut down to suit 1:35 scale and to come closer to the real subject.
This is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale, themed around the accessories of German tank crews. The parts are held on the sheet by thin tabs and are cut out of it before use. The actual breakdown of the parts, their placement and the recommended order of assembly are given in the instructions supplied by the manufacturer.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface rather than breaking them out, so that they do not bend. Use a bending tool or two metal jaws for the bends, and make each bend exactly in the marked groove. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small amount, best with the tip of a toothpick. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts and prime them, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. It makes sense to paint the small parts while they are still on the sheet and to remove them last.
The vehicle model, figures, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The scope of the parts supplied is given in the manufacturer's description.
