Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted plastic figures of German soldiers in winter dress from MiniArt in 1:35 scale. The group captures soldiers in poses typical of the harsh winter of the Eastern Front at the turn of 1941 and 1942. It is not a model of a vehicle — these are figures intended for dioramas and for bringing equipment to life. The exact number of parts is given in the instructions enclosed in the package.
The winter of 1941 to 1942 caught the German units on the Eastern Front unprepared for the bitter frosts. The soldiers wrapped themselves in anything that gave warmth — greatcoats, capes, winter caps and improvised layers of clothing became the characteristic image of this period. It is precisely the winter dress that makes these figures a rewarding subject for atmospheric snow-covered dioramas.
The figures are injection-molded from plastic and are glued with ordinary cement for plastic. After gluing, clean up the mold seams on the faces and the hands carefully. For painting, a primer works well, along with building the flesh tone from a muted base up to lighter layers and shading the folds of the winter greatcoats with a dark wash. A matte varnish and fine frost effects complete a snow-covered scene.
The set of figures is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
