A photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale from Aber, the add-on part for a model of the German 18 ton FAMO heavy half-track tractor (Sd.Kfz.9) in its artillery version. The set replaces coarser plastic features with fine photo-etched parts. It is not a vehicle kit but a metal accessory for more experienced modelers.
The FAMO Sd.Kfz.9 was the largest German half-track tractor of the Second World War. With an eighteen-ton capacity it towed heavy guns and served to recover and move damaged tanks. The artillery version was adapted for towing and serving heavy artillery systems.
Separate the photo-etched parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a glass surface and bend them with a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with glue for photo-etched parts. Degrease the metal parts and apply a metal primer before painting.
This is a photo-etched accessory for a model, not a standalone vehicle kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
