Laser-cut plant elements for a diorama in 1:35 scale, with a jungle theme. The outline of a leaf is cut precisely, so cutting out by hand falls away.

Laser-cut plant elements intended for a diorama in 1:35 scale, with a tropical vegetation theme. The laser cuts both the outline of a leaf and its serrated edge precisely, so the tedious cutting out with scissors falls away, after which a leaf never looks the same twice. It is precisely the shape of the edge that decides whether a plant looks believable on a finished scene.
Take the parts out of the sheet carefully; they are held in it by minute tabs alone, so a light push is enough and no tearing is needed. A flat leaf looks like paper, so bend every piece along the midrib before setting it in place and curl the ends slightly, so that it has volume and catches the light. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and apply it in spots at the point of attachment, otherwise it will soak through the leaf and leave a glossy patch once dry. The particular procedure for preparation and the recommended glue are given in the instructions of the manufacturer.
If you are going to paint the elements, use thin coats and rather spray them than brush them on; a thin part warps under a wet brush. Grade the shades, because uniform greenery gives an artificial scene away at first glance: leave the young leaves at the top lighter, darken the lower level and add a few dried leaves. Plant the plants in clusters of various heights and lean them away from each other; in nature nothing grows in a regular grid.
The set is for builders of dioramas in 1:35 scale who want tropical vegetation in a scene and do not want to make the leaves themselves. A model, a base, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
