Eduard 1:35 LVT(A)-2 Saipan is a photo-etched brass set for refining the surface of a model of the American LVT(A)-2 amphibious tracked carrier. It is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model.

A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale intended for detailing the exterior of the American LVT(A)-2 amphibious tracked vehicle in the configuration associated with the fighting for Saipan. It is not a standalone model of the vehicle but an accessory fitted to a plastic kit, which adds fine items of equipment, brackets and meshes.
The LVT (Landing Vehicle Tracked) was a family of amphibious tracked vehicles of the US Army and the Marine Corps used in the Pacific for landings and for moving across reefs and shallows. Versions with added armor also saw service in the fighting for the island of Saipan.
The parts of thin brass sheet are separated with a sharp knife and shaped with tweezers. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the brass before painting and prime it for metal, then weather it with washes and pigments for the effect of service in a wet environment.
This is an add-on photo-etched set. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
