A set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale intended to complete a model of American armor. The extent of the parts and the target kit are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
An etched part is thin metal sheet into which the outlines of the individual parts are etched chemically. That produces components far more delicate than can be made from plastic: grilles, eyes, loops, brackets, clips and other small items that immediately draw the eye on a model. This set in 1:35 scale is intended to complete a model of American armor.
The parts are separated from the carrier fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with nippers, which will bend the sheet. Sand the remaining stub down with a fine file. Make the bends along the scored lines, ideally in a bending tool or between two blades, and in one movement. They are attached with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a minute amount; metal parts can also be soldered.
Before painting, degrease the parts and give them a coat of primer; on smooth metal the finish otherwise holds poorly and rubs off during handling. Apply the paint in thin layers, so that the fine details are not flooded. Once it has dried, even the surface out with the surrounding parts of the model, so that the accessory does not look like a foreign element.
The set suits more experienced modelers who want to take a build beyond the contents of the box, and it assumes a steady hand, good light and basic tools, that is, tweezers, a sharp blade and a bending tool. Check the particular kit it is intended for in the manufacturer's instructions.
The model kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
