This set contains fine photo-etched brass manhole covers in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Matho Models. It is not a kit but a detailing accessory for urban, street and industrial dioramas. The photo-etched relief faithfully imitates the cast iron patterns of the covers, which will liven a roadway and a sidewalk up.
You sink the covers into the roadway, the paving or a concrete area of a scene. The various patterns make it possible to create a varied city as well as a factory site. They come out strikingly once the metal has been painted, rusted and lightly dirtied with pigments.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors and stick them with cyanoacrylate glue into a recess in the surface. Before painting, apply a base for metal, then the shade of cast iron and rust; a wash and pigments will add depth. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and the target scene are not included in the package.
