1:35 ON THE HUNT 1944

The set

Figures in 1:35 scale under the name ON THE HUNT 1944. The 1:35 scale is the most widespread one for military vehicles, so the figures can be combined with models of tanks and armored vehicles, with buildings and with terrain accessories of the same scale.

Why figures belong in a scene

A model of a machine on its own shows only equipment. Only a human figure beside it gives the viewer a size comparison and suggests an action, so that the model turns into a scene. It also proves useful where you do not want to build a whole diorama and only want to complete the base under a finished model.

• 1:35 scale, the same as most military vehicle kits
• the subject the supplier designates as ON THE HUNT 1944
• suitable for dioramas and for a base of its own
• the number of figures and how they go together is given in the manufacturer's instructions

Preparation and painting

Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down carefully, so that you do not damage the surrounding surfaces. Wash and degrease the figures before painting, otherwise the paint holds unreliably. A primer coat followed by thin coats of paint proves its worth. Leave the faces and hands until last, because they are what a figure is judged by most of all.
