A set of photo-etched parts for a model of the Pz.Kpfw.V Ausf.G Panther medium tank in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Panther was among the most capable German medium tanks of the Second World War. You can recognize it by the long barrel, the heavily sloped frontal armor and the large road wheels arranged so that they overlap one another. The Ausf.G variant was the most numerous late version: its hull side received a different slope and the driver's visor disappeared from the frontal armor.
This is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale. Photo-etching is produced by etching a shape out of thin metal sheet, so the parts come out markedly thinner than they can be made in plastic; they typically replace fenders, grilles, brackets and other features that in reality are only a few millimeters thick. The extent of the set and the kit it is designed for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface rather than by tearing them out, and sand the remains of the tabs with a needle file. Make the folds in a bending tool or between two blades so that the edge comes out sharp and straight. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; on joints under mechanical load soldering is useful. Before painting, wash and degrease the metal and apply an undercoat, otherwise the finish will not hold on the smooth surface.
The set is for modelers who build German vehicles in 1:35 scale and want to take the model beyond the level of the parts in the box. Working with photo-etched metal takes patience, tweezers and a steady hand. The tank kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
