A sheet of self-adhesive masks cut to the shape of the road wheels. The set holds neither a model nor parts — it merely marks out the area of the rubber tire band, so that the border between them stays sharp while the rim is sprayed. The cut matches the wheels from the kit by Panda.
Flashing off and curing are not the same thing, and on wheels that difference catches up with you fastest of all. The paint stops being tacky on the surface within tens of minutes, but underneath the coat it goes on hardening for many hours. A wheel taken between the fingers in that interval carries away a print or a matte patch that will show under varnish. The practical rule runs: take the mask off as soon as the paint has flashed off, but wait at least overnight before the next step — gluing, a wash, varnishing. Warmth and moving air help as well; drying on a sill above a radiator shortens the wait more than any accelerator. Until then, leave the wheels on a skewer or on the sprue and do not touch them.
The package contains masks only. The kit, paints and thinners are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
