The item 1:35 Ukrainian army soldier N°1 is a single figure cast in modeling resin. It is supplied unpainted and without a base, so you decide how to set it into a scene yourself. The number one in the name marks the first piece of the pair the brand carries under this designation.
Figures of present-day armies are among the subjects that diorama builders have long been interested in; they complete models of modern equipment that otherwise have no crew. Take the figure as a collector's piece and part of a visual scene; it makes sense wherever you want to give a model a human scale and naturalness.
With modern uniforms it is restraint rather than variety that decides. Start from a darker base, brighten the raised areas and keep the difference between light and shadow mild; exaggerated contrast looks unnatural at this scale. Suggest the camouflage pattern with small patches rather than exact drawing; at normal viewing distance it merges anyway. Set the equipment apart by tone, not only by brightness, and leave the gloss to just a few small details.
