Light fortification object model 37 (the Ropik), type C, 1:72 is a model of Czechoslovak light border fortification of the late 1930s, suitable for a fortification diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
The model captures an object of the Czechoslovak light fortification of model 37, popularly called the Ropik, in the type C version. It is not an injection-molded model of an aircraft or a vehicle but a kit of a pillbox with the surrounding ground, which can be worked into a diorama. The set usually combines a solid casting of the object and its ground with small additional parts.
The light fortification of model 37 formed a dense line of concrete pillboxes built to defend Czechoslovakia in 1937 and 1938. The objects were distinguished by the direction of fire and the arrangement of the embrasures; the garrison consisted of a few soldiers with machine guns. The abbreviation ROP comes from the Czechoslovak Directorate of Fortification Works, and hence the nickname Ropik.
Clean the casting of flash and any release agent and glue the parts with a suitable adhesive. Concrete comes out well with drybrushing in gray and ocher tones, and the ground can be completed with pigments, static grass and small vegetation. It is a good idea to set the object into a small diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
