The basic Aber photo-etched set for the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank in 1:35 scale: the add-on set (vol. 1) with fine metal details.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a tank model but the basic photo-etched metal detail set (vol. 1) from the Polish manufacturer Aber for a plastic model of the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank. The set replaces thick plastic features with fine photo-etched parts and markedly raises the fidelity of the finished build.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank from the start of the Second World War, named after Kliment Voroshilov. It stood out for its thick armor and was armed with a 76 mm gun. In 1941 it was an opponent the German units found hard to destroy.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, make the bends along the etched grooves in a bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Finish the running gear details before you close up the hull. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer; washes and pigments suit the weathering.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts only. The base plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
