Responsibility details are not available.
A resin kit of the Union armored paddle steamer USS Choctaw in her state from 1863, in 1:700 scale from the Czech maker ROP. The model is intended for experienced modelers with experience of resin. The castings capture the unmistakable silhouette of a river ironclad from the time of the American Civil War.
USS Choctaw was a sidewheel paddle steamer rebuilt in 1863 into an armored ram of the Union Navy. She carried a mixed gun armament and operated on the Mississippi and the Yazoo rivers. She was a slow but heavily armored vessel committed to operations against the Confederacy, among others at Haynes Bluff and Millikens Bend.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sprue gates and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model suits a base or a water surface (waterline). Dark shades of armor, wooden deck surfaces and fine washes to bring out the details of the paddle wheel drive are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
