MAiM 1:35 resin model of the heavy walking combat machine Thor from the science fiction Schwabenland Army range. A collector kit from an alternate-history universe.
Responsibility details are not available.
This model from MAiM belongs to the science fiction and alternate-history Schwabenland Army range and represents the Schwerer Kampflaufer, the heavy walking combat machine Thor, in 1:35 scale. It is fictional weird equipment from an invented world, not a real subject. The model is supplied as a resin kit to be assembled and painted.
Resin allows the rich casting of detail on the armor, the walking undercarriage and the weapon elements. Before gluing it is advisable to wash the parts, clean up the casting stubs and check for any bubbles. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The robust shape of the machine offers a large area for weathering: rust, scuffed armor, dust and mud on the legs.
The model will be appreciated by collectors and modelers who enjoy science fiction and alternate-history equipment and want to combine a military style of building with a fantasy subject. Thanks to the 1:35 scale the machine can be set in a diorama together with figures and accessories of the same scale. We recommend more experienced modelers because of the work with resin.
