By its designation this is a combined package containing two kits, and a form with the markings of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The number of parts, the contents of the decal sheet and any stand are given on the packaging and in the enclosed instructions.
The C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop transport aircraft with a high-mounted wing, a cargo hold of rectangular cross-section and a rear ramp. The high-wing layout and rugged landing gear allow it to operate even from short and unprepared surfaces. The H version is among the most widespread and serves for carrying cargo and people, for airborne tasks and for humanitarian flights. The type has been in service with a number of countries since the 1960s and has seen many specialized modifications.
1:200 scale means small parts and small glued areas, so it is better to meter the cement with a needle or a fine brush and to try the parts dry beforehand. Glue the propellers and the landing gear on only after the airframe is painted. Because the model has little in the way of deep detail, the result stands or falls with a smooth coat of paint and cleanly seated decals; apply a gloss varnish before them and even the surface out with a semi-matte one at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
