The set contains photo-etched brass fenders for detailing a plastic model of the British Sherman Firefly tank in the Mk.Ic Hybrid version in 1:35 scale. The thin photo-etched fenders replace the thicker plastic parts and look more realistic, including the option of rendering bent or damaged sheet metal.
The Sherman Firefly was a British conversion of the American M4 Sherman medium tank, armed with the powerful 17-pounder gun, which could destroy even heavy German tanks. The Mk.Ic Hybrid version was based on a hull with a partly cast front section. The Firefly made its mark from the Normandy landings of 1944 onward.
Separate the fenders carefully, shape any bends and battle damage with your fingers or a tool, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. After degreasing, apply a primer for metal and paint with an airbrush; mud and dust effects with washes and pigments will markedly bring the lower areas of the vehicle to life.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
