The package lets you build the variants of the Friedrich series, including the F-4 and F-6 configurations and the matching sub-variants and tropical modifications according to the instructions. It is a short-run injection-molded model, meant rather for more experienced modelers.
The Bf 109F, nicknamed Friedrich, was one of the aerodynamically most refined versions of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter of the Second World War. It brought rounded wingtips, a reworked engine cowling and lighter armament, with the emphasis on flight performance. The F series served in various theaters, including service in North Africa in the tropical configuration.
Before building, pick the particular variant and markings from the instructions. Dry-fit the parts and clean up the mold seams, and mask the canopy glazing. Typical Luftwaffe camouflage schemes use shades of gray and green; apply a gloss coat before the decals and even the finish out at the end with a matte coat.
