Japanese submarine Type A 1941 KO-Hyoteki is a resin kit of a Japanese midget submarine in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin kit of the Japanese Ko-Hyoteki class (Type A) midget submarine in 1:350 scale from the Czech manufacturer ROP. The package holds a small number of resin parts rounded out by photo-etched parts and a base; thanks to the small subject the finished model is very small. Intended for more advanced modelers.
The Type A Ko-Hyoteki midget submarines were Japanese two-man midget boats committed in the Second World War. They carried two torpedoes in the front and became known for attempts to break into harbors, among them the attack on Pearl Harbor. Because of their short range, larger mother submarines carried them to the target.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Given how small the model is, work with tweezers and a magnifier; it is worth fixing the hull to the base supplied. Paint it with an airbrush at light coverage.
The model is supplied as an unassembled resin kit with photo-etched parts. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
