Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the MBV-2 armored rail vehicle in the version with F-34 guns, in 1:35 scale. It is not a tank and not a truck: it is a self-propelled armored railcar that moved along the railway and carried rotating turrets with gun armament. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The MBV-2 was a Soviet armored railcar, that is a self-propelled rail vehicle with an armored body, its own power and several rotating turrets with 76 mm guns. It served to protect and support operations on railway lines. The F-34 designation in the name refers to the type of gun the vehicles were armed with during their service, so it is a particular armament variant, not a different vehicle.
The main difference from an ordinary military vehicle model is the running gear: instead of tracks and wheels you are dealing with bogies carrying pairs of rail wheels. Those are better painted and weathered on their own, before you seat them under the body. The body of the car is a long flat surface, so take care over the joints and the filling of gaps; over that length every irregularity shows. Leave the turrets free to rotate and seat them only after painting. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats, as a large area cannot be covered evenly with a brush. For weathering, rust shades on the running gear, coal and oil deposits around the engine compartment and light dust on the underside all work well. The model deserves a base with rails; without them it looks as if it were floating.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, rails and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
