This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a model of the vehicle. The set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is intended for detailing a plastic model of the T-15 heavy infantry fighting vehicle built on the universal Armata tracked platform, in 1:35 scale. The plastic kit is not included in the package.
Photo-etched sets for armored vehicles deal above all with those elements that cannot be made thin enough by injection molding into plastic: the grilles over the engine compartment and the radiators, fine brackets, eyes, clasps and thin sheet details on the hull and the sides. Where a plastic part looks too massive because of the technology, an etching replaces it with metal of a realistic thickness. The difference is most noticeable on the horizontal surfaces and the grilles, which the observer looks down on from above.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface. Make the bends in an etching bender or between two blades; on the larger hull plates the straightness of the edge is crucial. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue or with thin epoxy, which gives longer to settle the part; cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Before painting, degrease the metal and go over it with a base coat, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface and will peel off during masking. Leave the grilles until the end of the build, so that you do not catch on them during handling. Do the weathering only on the finished whole: washes and pigments will emphasize the pressings of the grilles and settle dust into the recesses.
The set is an accessory for a kit, which it does not contain. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
