An Aber telegraph pillar with 2 crossarms of 4 insulators each in 1:35 scale is a diorama structure made of photo-etched parts. You build a pillar with two crossarms, not a vehicle model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set from the manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale for building a telegraph, or power, pillar with two crossarms, each carrying four insulators. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a figure, but a standalone diorama feature. The set combines fine photo-etched metal parts with other components for a faithful fit-out of the pillar.
A telegraph pillar with several crossarms is a rewarding accessory along roads and railways in dioramas of the Second World War and in civilian scenes. It gives a scene a vertical element, a sense of scale and the chance to string wires above a column of vehicles or a street. Modelers usually make the shaft of the pillar themselves out of dowel, and the set supplies the crossarms and the insulators.
Cut the photo-etched parts off the fret and clean them up; sand the wooden shaft and bring out the grain of the wood. Prime the metal parts and paint them with acrylics; the insulators are finished with a gloss varnish. The wires are strung from fine drawn thread or thin fishing line between the individual insulators. Use cyanoacrylate glue for the metal.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The shaft of the pillar, glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
