This add-on set from the manufacturer Quickboost, the resin division of the Czech company Aires, is not a model but replacement resin parts for models of the Czechoslovak Avia S-199 fighter and of its two-seat trainer version CS-199 in 1:72 scale. The set holds the piston rods and the locks of the main landing gear legs.
The Avia S-199, nicknamed the Mezek, was a postwar Czechoslovak fighter derived from the Bf 109; the CS-199 version served as a two-seat trainer. The rods and the locks of the landing gear legs are small elements, yet they are well visible when the gear is down. Resin castings offer a finer and more precise rendering than plastic allows.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut the casting blocks away carefully. Handle the tiny parts gently and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Sand with protection for your breathing. Paint the parts before fitting them and bring the joints out with a wash.
An add-on set in resin, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
