Picture frames with landscape paintings in 1:35/Uniscale from MAiM: wall decoration for interior dioramas and vignettes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of picture frames complete with landscape painting motifs from the manufacturer MAiM turns the bare wall of an interior diorama into an inhabited space. Pictures on walls are among the details a viewer subconsciously reads as a sign of life, and that is exactly what a diorama is about. The set is listed in the universal 1:35/Uniscale, so you can use it in scenes in neighboring scales as well, for instance 1:32.
Landscape motifs are neutral in theme and therefore immensely versatile: they suit living rooms, offices, pubs, hotel lobbies and rural cottages, in historical as well as modern subjects. In a half-ruined house a picture hanging crooked tells a story just as strongly as it does in an untouched interior. The frames can be combined with the other sets of the range, with furniture or other picture motifs, to put together a whole living scene.
Clean the castings and paint the frames in shades of wood or as a gilded frame using metallic paints; a fine wash will bring out the profile of the moldings. Hang the pictures at slightly different heights and angles, because perfect regularity looks artificial. In derelict scenes a dusting of pigments or a light bleaching with a lighter filter will help.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
