A set of detailed castings of fuel cans to the American army pattern from the manufacturer Eureka XXL. This accessory in 1:35 scale is among the most universal items of a modeling stock: fuel cans were carried on practically every vehicle and piled up everywhere equipment refueled. It is not a model in its own right but a load that will give your scene life.
During the Second World War the American army introduced robust steel fuel cans, which were transported by the thousand, on the brackets of jeeps, on the beds of trucks and in the stores of field refueling points. The proven shape with its characteristic embossed ribs stayed in use for whole decades, so the castings suit subjects from Normandy to modern conflicts.
Once they are cleaned up and washed, spray a base shade according to the period and the battlefield of your subject. Fuel cans are simply crying out for more pronounced weathering: chipping down to bare metal, traces of rust around the neck, greasy streaks and dust. A combination of several pieces in different degrees of wear works well too; stacked on a bed or dropped beside a vehicle they look very realistic.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The vehicles and the figures are not included in the package.
