The Vickers Carden-Loyd A4E12 was a light amphibious tank of the first half of the 1930s. It came about as a private development by a British arms works and was intended above all for export, so it turns up in the colors of several armies outside Britain. The hull was designed as a buoyant body so that the vehicle could carry itself on water; on the surface it was driven by a propeller at the stern. The crew numbered two men and the armament was a machine gun, which made the vehicle a reconnaissance rather than a fighting machine. It is precisely that combination of a small hull, high sides and amphibious equipment that gives the model its unmistakable shape.
It is a kit, that is a collection of parts to be assembled and painted. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the range of parts, decals and marking options is in the instructions included in the box.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder, so that the surrounding surface is not disturbed. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Before painting, wash and degrease the whole model, otherwise the paint will not hold on greasy spots. It is practical to paint the small running-gear parts before assembly, because afterwards they are hard to reach. For the actual procedure and the order of the steps, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
