What it holds is photo-etched brass parts meant to replace the corresponding plastic parts of the Trumpeter 05529 kit. It is not a model of the vehicle and not a complete detail set but a targeted accessory for the modeler, which can be combined with other sets for the same vehicle.
On a model of a tank a fender is sheet a fraction of a millimeter thick to scale, but injection-molded plastic makes it many times thicker for technological reasons. Because it is a long part running the whole length of the vehicle exactly at the viewer's eye level, its edge is among the first things on a model to give the compromise away. Photo-etched brass gives a fender the right thickness and, on top of that, allows what plastic cannot do at all: bending, denting or tearing part of a fender away and so making convincing traces of service on the vehicle.
Cut the fenders out whole and check the flatness on glass straight away. Bend the supports and brackets in a bending tool, so that they come out in one plane and the fender sits on them without twisting. If you want to form damage into a fender, do it before gluing it to the hull, on a soft surface and with a blunt tool; brass holds a shape very readily and can be softened locally by annealing. Glue with cyanoacrylate in small stretches and hold the part while it dries, so that no gap opens between the hull and the fender. Once it is glued on, degrease everything and spray a primer for metal, otherwise the paint will not hold on the edges.
A photo-etched set is an accessory for modelers; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
