Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a medium transport helicopter in the small 1:350 scale. The 1:350 scale belongs above all to models of warships, so this helicopter serves mainly as an addition on a deck, in a diorama or in a display scene. It is not an independent model of a helicopter of the usual size but a miniature completing a larger whole. The manufacturer is Trumpeter.
The CH-46 Sea Knight is an American medium transport helicopter with a tandem arrangement of two main rotors, that is, with no tail rotor. It served for carrying people and cargo, for supplying ships at sea and for supporting landing operations. The tandem arrangement gives the machine a characteristic elongated silhouette with two rotor pylons and a cargo ramp at the rear.
The most sensitive parts in this scale are the rotor blades and the landing gear. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel, level the remains of the gates with fine abrasive paper and handle the parts with tweezers. For gluing use a thin cement for plastic applied with a needle, and cyanoacrylate glue for the smallest parts. Spray or brush the paint on in thin coats, so that the relief of the fuselage is not lost. The glazing of the cabin can be suggested with a dark shade and a drop of gloss varnish. Decals, if they are part of the package, should be applied onto a glossy base with a softener. A final matte varnish will unify the surface and soften the transitions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
