A set of miniature plastic aircraft in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It is not a large model in its own right but a group of small injection-molded Consolidated P2Y seaplanes intended to fill out naval dioramas, harbor scenes and ship models. The package contains several aircraft on shared sprues; these are small parts for more advanced modelers.
The Consolidated P2Y was an American naval patrol flying boat of the early thirties of the twentieth century. These long-range seaplanes served with the US Navy on ocean patrols and long-distance flights and were among the forerunners of the later large patrol flying boats. Characteristic was the boat hull structure, which allowed takeoff and landing on the surface of the water.
The set is intended for builders of ship and harbor models in 1:350 scale and for collectors of naval aviation subjects. Given the small size of the parts we recommend it to more experienced modelers. The aircraft are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Paints, glue and a ship model are not included in the package. It is an accessory set of aircraft, not an aircraft model in its own right.
