The set from MASTER contains 20 turned brass barrels for the German automatic anti-aircraft gun of 37 mm caliber, the M42 (barrel length 69 calibers), in 1:350 scale. The metal barrels replace the plastic parts and refine the small anti-aircraft armament. It is a detail accessory, not a ship model.
The 3.7 cm M42 was a fully automatic German anti-aircraft gun that in the Second World War replaced the older semi-automatic SK C/30 type. It offered a substantially higher rate of fire and appeared on many German warships from 1944 onward. It was fitted in single and twin mountings alike.
Separate the thin barrels carefully from the casting block, clean them up and glue them on with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the brass before painting and apply a primer, then spray the paint with an airbrush because of the fine detail of the muzzles.
This is a metal detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
