A wooden deck for a Japanese aircraft carrier in 1:350 is a self-adhesive sheet of real wood for the flight deck of a model, with no particular ship specified.
Responsibility details are not available.
A self-adhesive deck of real wood for models of Japanese aircraft carriers in 1:350 scale. It replaces the molded plastic deck and gives it real wood grain and the depth of the seams between the planks, which paint cannot imitate. Japanese flight decks were wooden along their whole length, and that is exactly why the difference between plastic and real wood shows most on them. The manufacturer does not state which particular ship and kit the sheet is cut for, though, so compare the outline with your own model before you order.
The base has to be smooth, degreased and free of paint residue; every grain of dust shows through thin wood. Lay the sheet down dry first and check that the openings and the outline sit on your model; with a self-adhesive deck there is rarely a second attempt. Work from the center toward the edges and press the air out with a soft spatula. A matte varnish protects the wood against soiling but darkens it, so test it on an offcut. Toning is best done with a glaze rather than an opaque paint.
For ship modelers who build Japanese aircraft carriers in 1:350 scale and want a deck on a par with the rest of the build. Compare the outline of the sheet with your own model before you order.
This is an accessory, not a ship kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
