An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese helicopter carrier Hyuga (DDH-181) in 1:350 scale from the Japanese maker Fujimi. The model is supplied as an unassembled kit to glue and paint. Check the exact package contents and the extent of the photo-etched parts on the particular box.
The Hyuga (DDH-181) is a helicopter carrier of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the lead ship of the class of the same name. Her full-length flight deck lets her operate a larger number of helicopters. She serves as a modern multi-purpose unit for naval operations.
The hull can be built as a full hull or as a waterline model. Finish the flight deck, the superstructure and the radars carefully; photo-etched railings are worth having. Paint with an airbrush and shade the surfaces with a fine wash. Add a display stand to the model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
