The Mitsubishi SH-60K is a small plastic kit of a shipboard helicopter in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter, intended above all as an addition to ship models.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a shipboard multirole helicopter in the small 1:350 scale. This scale is used mainly with models of warships, so the helicopter serves above all to occupy the landing area at the stern of a model, a diorama or a display scene. It is not an independent model of a helicopter of the usual size but a miniature completing a larger whole. The manufacturer is Trumpeter.
The SH-60K is a shipboard helicopter of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, produced in Japan by Mitsubishi and coming out of the American Seahawk line. It serves for tasks such as surface reconnaissance, antisubmarine warfare, transport and rescue operations from the deck of surface ships. In design it is a machine with a single main rotor, folding blades and a folding tail section for stowage in a ship hangar.
The rotor blades and the landing gear are among the most fragile parts in this scale, so cut them off with a scalpel and sand them over with fine abrasive paper. For gluing use a thin cement for plastic applied with a needle, and cyanoacrylate glue for the smallest parts. Apply the paint thinly, so that the edges and transitions are not lost. The glazing of the cabin can be suggested at this size with a dark color and a fine gloss varnish. If the package contains decals, apply them onto a glossy base and use a softener. The helicopter looks good on a deck in combination with fine accenting of the panels and a matte final varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
