A set of 16 turned metal barrels of 102 mm Q.F. Mk.XVI caliber for Royal Navy ships in 1:350 scale. A detail accessory for the dual-purpose armament, not a model of a ship.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains sixteen accurately turned metal barrels of 102 mm caliber in the Q.F. Mk.XVI form. The metal barrels replace the plastic parts and give a model a sharp, faithful profile of the dual-purpose armament. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of a whole ship.
The dual-purpose gun of 102 mm caliber, the Q.F. Mk.XVI (four-inch), was the standard British dual-purpose weapon, able to fire at surface and air targets alike. It was fitted in twin mounts on a broad range of Royal Navy ships, from destroyers to larger vessels, and formed an important part of their anti-aircraft defense.
Separate the barrels from the stub and clean them up, then degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer. We recommend an airbrush and shades of naval gray, and bring the muzzle out with a dark wash.
The set is an accessory, not a model of a ship. It is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
