A detail set in turned metal containing 9 American barrels of 406 mm (16 inch) caliber in the Mark 6 build for turrets without blast bags. 1:350 scale. It is not a ship model but accurate metal replacements for the barrels of the main caliber. The version without blast bags differs from the version with them, so choose the set according to the particular ship.
The 16in/45 Mark 6 gun made up the main armament of the American battleships of the North Carolina and South Dakota classes. The ships carried nine of them in three triple turrets. It was a powerful weapon deployed in many battles of the Second World War in the Pacific.
Separate the barrels from the gate, clean them up and seat them in the cleaned-out holes of the turrets. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Treat the metal with a base coat (primer) before painting.
This is an add-on detail set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
