This is not a model of a ship or an aircraft but a set of turned metal aerial torpedoes in 1:350 scale from the Polish manufacturer MASTER. The set holds ten torpedoes of 22.4 inch caliber in the later, improved configuration, supplemented with transport trolleys. The metal version offers precise geometry and fine details that plastic or resin castings achieve only with difficulty.
The Mark 13 was the standard aerial torpedo of the US Navy in the Second World War. It was carried above all by the Grumman and General Motors Avenger torpedo bomber and was used in key battles in the Pacific. The improved version bettered the reliability and the behavior of the torpedo after it hit the water.
Cut the parts off the casting stub and clean them up. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and apply a metal primer. The torpedoes and the trolleys have fine turned details that catch the eye at once on the deck or in the hangar of a carrier.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
