Eduard 1:350 USS Yorktown CV-5 (anti-aircraft armament, part 2) is a photo-etched set for raising the detail of a plastic kit of the American aircraft carrier.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of photo-etched parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, the second in a range of accessories for this ship, aimed at the anti-aircraft armament. It is not a ship model but an accessory for raising the detail of a plastic kit of the American aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CV-5) in 1:350 scale. The fine photo-etched parts sharpen up the gun mounts, the platforms and the protective elements of the anti-aircraft weapons.
USS Yorktown (CV-5) was an American aircraft carrier, the lead ship of the class of the same name. She took part in the key battles in the Pacific and was sunk during the Battle of Midway in 1942. Her anti-aircraft armament was an important part of the vessel's defense.
Separate the small photo-etched parts from the fret, bend them over a sharp edge and bond them spot by spot with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Tweezers and a magnifier will make the work easier; let the assembled gun mounts dry thoroughly before fitting them.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
