Turned brass barrels for the Bofors anti-aircraft gun of 40 mm caliber and 56 calibers length in 1:400 scale. A set of 20 pieces replaces the plastic barrels on models of countless Allied warships of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains twenty turned brass barrels for the proven Bofors anti-aircraft gun of 40 mm caliber and 56 calibers length. This light yet effective automatic weapon was among the most widespread anti-aircraft armament of Allied warships in the Second World War.
The metal barrels replace the original plastic parts of the kit and bring a faithful thin profile and a sharp muzzle, which injection-molded plastic does not reach at this scale. The high count of pieces lets you fit even ships with an extensive anti-aircraft battery.
The material holds its shape, resists bending and once painted looks realistic. Fitting consists of cutting off the plastic barrel and seating the brass replacement in its place.
