U-176 (Type IXC, Turm II) is a plastic kit of the German ocean-going submarine of the Second World War in 1:400 scale from the manufacturer Mirage Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German submarine U-176 of Type IXC (the Turm II version of the conning tower) in 1:400 scale from the manufacturer Mirage Hobby. The model has a full hull and holds parts of gray plastic, decals and a stand. It renders a particular boat of the long-range ocean-going series accurately.
Type IXC belonged among the German ocean-going long-range submarines with a great range, intended for operations in the distant reaches of the Atlantic. Against the smaller Type VII they had a bigger hull, a greater fuel supply and more armament. U-176 was one of the units of this series deployed during the war.
In 1:400 scale, butt-glue the halves of the hull and sand the seam finely. For painting use dark gray naval shades, a primer base and a matte varnish. Fine accenting of the deck and the hatches will underline the character of the long hull of Type IXC.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
