An SX-Art masking set in 1:43 scale for painting a model of the 677M city bus, that is, the classic Soviet high-floor service bus.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the SX-Art brand intended for painting a model of a city bus in 1:43 scale. It is not a kit and not a part of a model, but an aid for painting: the masks are stuck onto the glazing and other areas, sprayed over and lifted off once the paint has dried.
The 677M type is the later, modernized variant of the 677 city bus, one of the most widespread service vehicles of the Eastern bloc. The vehicle is high-floor, with a long rear overhang and with large side windows running practically the whole length of the body. It is those windows that make a model of the bus a particularly laborious piece: there are many frames, they are long and any unevenness is visible at first glance on a long straight edge.
Degrease the glazing, seat the mask with tweezers and press the edges down with a blunt tool along their whole length. Spray the paint in thin layers and always rather in two goes; with a heavy application it is easily forced under a long straight edge. Lift the mask off shortly after the paint has set. With buses it pays to paint the body and the glazing separately and to join them only at the end, because the long frames are hard to reach once they are glued together.
It is an accessory to a model, not the model itself. The model and the paints are not included in the package. Before you buy, check that the set matches your model.
