This collector's model from Abrex captures the fourth generation of the Skoda Octavia in the Quartz Gray Metallic color finish. The model is supplied finished — assembled and painted, ready to go straight into a display case. It is not glued, sanded or sprayed. The 1:43 scale is the most common for collector's models of passenger cars, so the model matches the other pieces in a collection in size.
The fourth generation of the Octavia was presented at the end of 2019 and went on sale in 2020. Against its predecessor it received a reworked nose with narrower headlights, a digital instrument panel and an interior with a two-spoke steering wheel. It was offered in the liftback and estate body versions and remained the best-selling model of the Mlada Boleslav marque. The particular shade the model is finished in is given by the name.
Gray metallic paint is as sensitive to fingerprints as darker shades, so pick the model up by the chassis or through a cloth. Brush dust away with a soft brush, never with a dry cloth — that would dull the surface over time. A closed place in a display case out of direct sunlight is suitable, so that the paint does not lose its saturation.
