A set of ammunition boxes for the Pz.IV Ausf. J and the StuG III Ausf. G in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Hauler is usable for both subjects, which shared the same gun caliber.

A set of small accessory parts, not a kit of the vehicle. It holds ammunition boxes for the two types of machine given in the name of the product. One package for two subjects is no accident - both vehicles carried a gun of the same caliber, so the transport boxes for the rounds were shared as well. For a modeler who builds both vehicles side by side in one scene it is a practical solution.
The Pz.IV Ausf. J was the last and production-simplified version of the Pz.IV medium tank. The StuG III Ausf. G was an assault gun on the Pz.III chassis with its gun in a fixed superstructure. Both vehicles used a 75 mm gun with a long barrel and in the second half of the war they formed the backbone of the German armored units, often committed together.
With boxes it is not about technical accuracy of placement but about composition. Think through in advance where they will lie: in practice a load piled up where it did not get in the crew's way and where it could be secured - on the fenders, at the rear, around the superstructure. A regular arrangement looks artificial, so turn some boxes to one side and lay one at an angle. Painting is easiest before separating them from the fret or the block, with degreasing and a primer as on any small part. The shade of the boxes does not have to match the vehicle; on the contrary, a slightly different tone and an independent degree of wear will benefit the scene. Finally add a build-up of dust at the bottom and a shadow under the box.
This is an accessory for building a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
