This resin conversion set from the manufacturer AML rebuilds a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6/R6 fighter into the night fighter version fitted with the FuG 350 Naxos. It is not a stand-alone model but a conversion accessory intended for Bf 109 G-6 models in 1:48 scale.
The FuG 350 Naxos was a German passive receiver that homed on the emissions of Allied H2S airborne radars and helped night fighters find their way onto bomber streams. The R6 version added underwing armament to the basic Bf 109 G-6. The recognition feature is the Naxos antenna fairing on the fuselage spine.
The conversion usually calls for reworking the fuselage spine and for work on the instrument panel. Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the joints. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and sanding should be done with your airways protected. Seat the new antenna fairing precisely according to the drawing.
This is a conversion accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
