1:48 de Havilland Chipmunk T.10 LooK is an Eduard resin instrument panel from the LooK range for a model of the British trainer in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item belongs to the LooK range, that is, to the instrument panels. It is therefore an accessory replacing the panel from the kit, not an airplane model. A resin casting makes a sharper relief of the dials and instrument boxes possible than can be drawn out of an injection mold. Whether the face of the panel is already finished and what else the package holds is stated on its packaging.
The de Havilland Chipmunk was a two-seat trainer with a tandem seating arrangement and an inline engine. The T.10 designation corresponded to the British military version used for basic training. The canopy was long and well glazed, so on a model practically the whole interior is visible; precisely for that reason it pays off on this type to give the instrument panel increased attention.
Wash the resin castings first in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the remains of the mold release agent are removed from the surface. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw or a cutter, never break it off. Sand the remainder down, and protect your breathing while sanding resin, as the dust is fine. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); ordinary cement for plastic models has no effect on it. Try the panel dry before seating it, as the bed in the fuselage usually has to be adjusted slightly or material taken away behind it.
This is an accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
