A material for free use, not a model and not a set for a particular kit. A metal plate 100x50 mm overall carries a regular texture of small lentil shapes over the whole area. In reality such a pattern is used on non-slip plate: on floors, platforms, steps, ramps and walkways. From the plate you cut out exactly the area you need.
On the floors of hulls and interiors, on the platforms of trucks and trailers, on steps and loading ramps, on the walkways of service vehicles and on diorama items such as workshop floors and ramps. It is precisely these areas that tend to be smooth on a model, although in reality they were always textured - it is one of the details the eye notices before it realizes why.
Non-slip plate is something that is walked on, and the weathering should match that. After the base and the covering color, apply a dark wash into the hollows, then run a dry brush with a metal shade lightly only where the usual path runs - by the steps, the hatches and the edges of a platform. Suggest dust and mud with pigments in the corners and toward the edges, because that is where they stay, while in the middle they are rubbed away. Apply the paint thinly; a thick coat floods the fine relief.
