Eduard 1:48 F-22 is a set of precisely die-cut painting masks for the canopy glazing and the wheels of a model of the F-22 Raptor fighter. The model itself is not included in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of kabuki tape painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for a model of the American F-22 Raptor fighter in 1:48 scale. The masks are machine die-cut to close tolerances and self-adhesive, so they reliably cover the frames of the canopy glazing and the wheel hubs. Thanks to them, spraying gives sharp, clean paint transitions without the need to cut tape laboriously. This is not an airplane model but an accessory for painting; the base kit has to be bought separately.
The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is an American single-seat twin-engine fighter of the fifth generation, with low-observable features and thrust vectoring. Its large bubble canopy with pronounced framing makes it an ideal subject for masking the glazing.
Before the masks are applied, remove dust and grease from the surface. Transfer the masks with tweezers and press them carefully against the edges of the frames so that paint cannot creep under them. Apply the paint in thin coats and take the masks off while the lacquer is still fresh, so that it does not peel.
This is an accessory for masking during painting, not a model. The kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
